Mike and his wife, Katie, have a daughter Kelly and sons Philip and Danny. He is originally from St. Louis Park, MN. He moved to Fargo in 1981 after graduating from St. John's University in Collegeville, MN in 1980 with a BA in business administration. He began his career with Nodak Insurance in July of 1987, receiving the LUTCF designation in 1991. He's been a Nodaknight 12 times in 18 years and the agent of the year six times. Mike was on the local NALU/NAIFA board of directors for 12 years. President fo Fargo/Moorhead NALU in 1995-1996. He served on the State Board for NALU of five years/NAIFA board of directors for 12 years, president of the Fargo/Moorhead NALU in 1995-1996. He is on the Shanley High School Athletic Club Board of Directors. Mike and his wife have lead their church contemporary choir for 22 years. He enjoys playing the guitar, mandolin and hammer dulcimer. He spends time hunting, golf and fishing. During one fishing trip in Hawaii, Mike caught a 943 lb. Blue Marlin.
