Nodak Mutual Insurance Company has donated $10,000 to North Dakota Farm Bureau Foundation's "Buy a Sandbag for a Buck" flood relief and recovery program.
Through donations of companies and individuals, the foundation has collected over $100,000 for flood-ravaged areas throughout North Dakota. Major donors are those giving $1,000 or more.
"We are happy to be a part of the North Dakota Farm Bureau's effort to help cities, both rural and urban, as well as individuals affected by recent flooding," said Executive Vice President and CEO Jim Alexander. "We are a North Dakota company and part of the many communities affected by the flooding - it's important that we do what we can to help."
The NDFB Foundation will make disbursement through various state and local charitable organizations such as Red Cross or Lutheran Social Services of ND or local agencies who work with underserved communities.
